Replacement 24 Volt Solenoid Valve. This valve operates on 24 volt however some units are equipped with a 115 volt solenoid valve. Look closely at your old one to see what voltage it is rated at before ordering this valve. This item can be mounted on the left OR right side of the humidifier.
This component is also known as part number: 7014 and 990-46

This product was as described and needed. It is great that the part worked as intended. In the future, I would like to see a set of instructions on how to install it. While this piece was simple and self explanatory, I'm not sure the entire unit is that simple.
Repair to General Aire Humidifier by C. Stukins (Englewood OH US)
The solenoid valve on my General Aire Humidifier finally failed after multiple years of use. I was able to find the General Aire website easily and utilized their online order process to order several components to rebuild the unit. The part arrived within 7 days as promised. All the components were correct and the re-installation went without any trouble and the unit is now working as expected. The only item I overlooked was the drain tube. After the many years of use the drain tube clogged from rust which caused an overflow from the humidifier that lead to the diagnosis of a failed solenoid. I would not hesitate to order additional components from General Aire if I have any additional issues, and I don't expect any! Although I will have to order a new drain tube!

I contacted the customer service dept. They assisted in troubleshooting my problem, didn't just try to sell me parts. The first attempt was absolutely free. (It didn't fix it, but I really appreciated the help) Parts when ordered were delivered on time and fixed my problem. I recommend these guys!!!
